Important Information Regarding Recycling TV’s with Guardian Storage

In an effort to continue to support the environment and our communities, Guardian Storage has offered electronic recycling drop-off at their 12 Pittsburgh locations for several years. As the electronic recycling industry grows and changes, we must also grow and change our policies and acceptance of materials to continue to make our service easy, convenient and free.

Beginning June 1, 2014 Guardian Storage will no longer be accepting CRT-TV’s, best known as tube televisions. Due to new regulations CRT-TV’s now come at a cost to recycle. In our best effort to continue to provide our service for free e-cycling we will no longer be accepting tube televisions after June 1st. We will still be accepting flat screen TV’s of any size. To continue to protect the environment you may contact Evolution Ecycling for pick-up information or where you may recycle/dispose of your CRT-TV’s (tube).

Drop off hours for electronic recycling are Monday – Saturday: 9am – 5pm. Please do not leave items at the gate or outside of our properties. Please remember to call ahead to your neighborhood location to confirm hours of operation. Our properties are under 24 hour digital video surveillance and anyone caught illegally dumping electronics will be prosecuted.
