Hampton Community Appreciation Event – Pittsburgh
Free Upcoming Pittsburgh Event
“What’s happening in Pittsburgh this weekend?” – something we search almost every work week when the forecast finally shows sunshine. Now that back-to-school season is starting, your kids are going to be even more antsy to have something fun and exciting to do on the weekends. Stop by our upcoming event to reward them for their transition back into student-mode, and take the time to browse vendors, raffle baskets, and food trucks for yourself.
On September 29, 2018, from 1 – 5 pm, bring the whole family to Guardian Storage Hampton for our Community Appreciation Event! Admission and parking are free. Plus, 100% of donations collected from activities will support The Education Partnership and Pittsburgh CAT, two local Pittsburgh nonprofits. This event is our way of saying “thank you!” to everyone in our community for welcoming us and for showing their support of our business. One of our main missions is to give back to our local communities, and this is one little way we can show our gratitude.
What fun things can you expect at the event? There will be:
- A Firetruck with fire safety tips
- Face painting
- Balloon animals
- Kona Ice Truck
- Food Trucks
- Pittsburgh CAT petting area
- DJ
- Basket Raffle
- Local Vendors

The Education Partnership
60,000 local students in Allegheny County don’t have basic school supplies. The Education Partnership works to bridge the gap between what students have, and what they need to succeed in the classroom. They currently serve 45,000 students and 4,000 teachers at 110 local schools. Guardian Storage is proud to support The Education Partnership in a few different ways. During our Annual Shred-It Event, we collect supplies and monetary donations in exchange for our free shredding services. We also adopt two local schools each year: Pittsburgh Clayton Academy and Urban Academy of Greater Pittsburgh. Through the adopt-a-school program, we provide each student with Power Tool Homework Kits to ensure they have the supplies they need to succeed both in the classroom and at home. Pittsburgh CAT
Pittsburgh CAT started as an informal group of volunteers who wanted to help find homes for friendly stray cats trapped during Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) efforts. As their reputation and resources have grown, they’ve expanded their efforts to take in cats that would not do well in a traditional animal shelter environment — cats who are too terrified in a cage, cats with FIV and FeLV, cats from hoarding situations who need an extra bit of patient love, cats with chronic but treatable medical conditions, and cats who initially require more care than is possible in a more traditional environment. Their mission is to help the cats that no one else will help. You can view all adoptable cats here.
Guardian Storage Hampton is located at 4750 William Flinn Highway.
