Guardian Storage Continues Expansion in Pittsburgh with North Strabane Location

Over the past two years, we have expanded our company footprint by 20% with the addition of five locations – the newest being North Strabane, which is scheduled to open in September 2020. Located at 2670 Washington Road in Canonsburg, PA, the new, 117,870 square foot self-storage facility will offer nearby residents access to approximately 739 units, including climate and non-climate controlled units in a variety of sizes to accommodate their storage needs.

We conduct extensive, feasibility research when considering a new property to ensure our expansion is responsible and successful.”Guardian Storage invested $14.5 million into the purchase and construction of the four-story, 86,600 square foot building that will sit on 5.1 acres. The building is to be constructed primarily of a combination of masonry, glass, and metal exteriors over steel framing and reinforced concrete foundations.

The North Strabane location will offer the following amenities:

• Superior Service from a dedicated, experienced, and highly-trained property team, including full-time maintenance staff.
• State-of-the-art security including property-wide digital video recording, individual unit alarms, electronic keypad access, central station monitoring, and more.
• Convenience with 365 days a year customer access to units; online billing and payment; large, covered loading docks; moving carts and dollies; full array of packing and moving supplies; free use of moving truck to move-in; free Wi-Fi; package acceptance and use of conference room.
• Variety of units ranging in size from 5’x5’ to 10’x35’. There will be a mix of climate-controlled and non-climate controlled, interior, drive up and climate-controlled units.

The property will be constructed by Arco Murray and designed by their long-term, Pittsburgh-based partner, Desmone Architects.
