Guardian Storage Founder Named Winner of 2018 Outstanding CEO Award by Pittsburgh Business Times
This February, Steven Cohen, President and Founder of Guardian Storage was selected as a recipient of Pittsburgh Business Times’ 2018 Outstanding CEO Award.
Winners were chosen based on four criteria:
- Vital leadership and customer service philosophy
- Outstanding employee relationships
- Contributions to the community
- Evidence that they have shaped their company’s products or services to help lead their business to success
2018 marks Guardian Storage’s 31st year in business, and much of its continued growth and success can be attributed to Steven’s leadership. By consistently adhering to the core foundation of his business model, Steven has successfully led and grown Guardian Storage through recessions, price wars, and tough competition. His industry expertise, dedication to the company and development of a strong company culture has earned Guardian a spot in the Pittsburgh Business Times’ “Fastest Growing Private Companies” for nine of the last 10 years.
A core component of Guardian’s company culture is giving back to the communities in which they do business. “Guardian Cares” is a consistent and ongoing theme within the company that comes to life in a variety of ways. Each year, Guardian Storage hosts a variety of company-wide charitable events with groups like The Education Partnership, Pittsburgh Stands with Puerto Rico and Toys for Tots. Guardian’s property managers also regularly hold fundraisers and collection events for various community groups and individuals in need.
